The latest episode of Shark Tank India Season 3 has been in the headlines following an interaction between Shark Anupam Mittal and a 24-year-old entrepreneur. The incident unfolded during a pitch by Siddharth Madhav (18) and Ha Tada (24) about their innovative petrol detection and meter company, FuelV. The duo sought Rs 50 lakhs for a 5 per cent equity stake.


During the Shark's interaction, Ha Tade disclosed that he had left his home two years back to pursue his entrepreneurial dream. He explained, “I was studying in a reputed college, and we were sure that I would get the job. However, I didn't want to do a job, and I have been trying to make my parents understand that I want to do something innovative, but they refused. I had to leave my home."









In response, Peyush, founder of Lenskart, inquires, "Did you complete your college?" Ha Tade said he didn't, revealing that if he had continued, he would have ended up working for a company rather than starting one, a path his parents were expecting. He then explained how he met Siddharth and their background.


When Shark Vineeta asked Tada about his parents, he responded, “My parents were ‘just farmers’ the last time I remember." The Sharks asked him if his parents knew he was in Dehradun and whether he had tried to contact them in the past two years. Tada replied, “Just one time when I left my house. As they were worried, I called them and asked for three years, I'll try everything I can and will return if I am not able to. They said okay." 


Following that, Ritesh asked Ha Tade to send a message to his parents via this show, to which Tade thanked them and stated that, having been away from them, he now understands the importance of parenting. Despite this, Tada expressed regret for leaving his family and promised to prove his worth. Sharks believed his apology was fabricated. Aman addressed him as "Bachkana" and stated, 'I'm out.' Vineeta attempted to persuade him that many children between 22 and 23 do not express gratitude to their parents. She also mentioned that he has ego issues and advised him not to issue any fake apologies.


Despite the tension, Tada proceeded with the presentation of his product and received appreciation from the sharks for his innovative concept. He elaborated on his efforts to sustain himself financially, including participation in entrepreneurial competitions and offering coaching services.


However, the Sharks were shocked when Ha Tade revealed that he had returned to Arunachal to set up his office. Anupamam inquired whether he had returned to Itanagar after receiving a grant from the state government. The Sharks then stopped Tada and asked Siddharth to respond. He stated, "Science and technology recognised our product and provided us with initial funding to develop it." Peyush asked Tada if his parents knew he was in Itanagar, to which he replied, "They may know."




Anupam strongly criticised Tada for this, saying, "Mujhe lagtaI hai aapko dramebaazi ka bohot shauq hai. Zindagi chalti hai seekh se, speak the truth." "I believe you have a strong inclination towards drama. Life is based on experience; speak the truth." In the end, all the sharks pulled out of the deal while Aman kept reminding Ha Tade to speak with his parents.
