Bernard Arnault has become the wealthiest person in the world, according to Forbes. The founder, chairman, and CEO of global luxury goods brand LVMH (Louis Vitton) has surpassed Elon Musk and secured his position as the wealthiest person in the world.
According to the magazine, the Arnault family is currently worth $207.8 billion. The family’s net worth increased by $23.6 billion on Friday, securing the first rank for Arnault. Elon Musk, meanwhile, has a net worth of $204.5 billion, reducing by over $18 billion, reported Hindustan Times.
As of Sunday, the luxury brand owner and his family’s wealth stood at $207.6 billion, with Musk placed second at $204.7 billion, the Forbes Real Time Billionaire List reflected. The top five on the list included Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, and Mark Zuckerberg.
On the other hand, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Musk remained the richest person in the world with a wealth of $199 billion. The second position on the index was occupied by Jeff Bezos, with a net worth of $184 billion, followed by Arnault with a wealth of $183 billion.
According to the Forbes list, the top 10 wealthiest people in the world also included Warren Buffet at the sixth position with a wealth of $127.2 billion. Among the Indians on the list, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) chairman, Mukesh Ambani, found himself just outside the top 10 at the 11th rank with a net worth of $104.4 billion. Ambani also remained the wealthiest Asian on the list.
Adani Group chairman, Gautam Adani, was ranked 16th on the list with a wealth of $75.7 billion and became the second richest Asian, according to Forbes.
