New Delhi: The prices of petrol and diesel remained unchanged for the third consecutive day across the four metros on Saturday.


The prices of petrol and diesel are though soaring at an all-time high in all the four metros.

The petrol price was recorded at Rs 101.34 per litre, whereas a litre of diesel is priced at Rs 88.77 in the national capital.


The petrol price stood unchanged at Rs 107.39 per litre in the fiscal capital Mumbai, while diesel is being sold at Rs 96.33 per litre.


The petrol price was recorded at Rs 101.72 per litre in Kolkata, while diesel is being sold at Rs 91.84 per litre.


In Tamil Nadu capital Chennai, the petrol price stood unchanged at Rs 99.08 per litre, while diesel is priced at Rs 93.38 per litre.


The fuel rates vary across the states due to value-added tax. Any changes in the prices of petrol and diesel are implemented with effect from 6 a.m. every day.


Earlier on Friday, the oil prices rose more than half a percent. The crude prices climbed after a strong rise in the previous session on a weaker dollar and a fall in U.S. crude stocks.

In intra-day trade, Brent crude was trading around 73 dollars and 50 cents per barrel while WTI crude prices were at 70 dollars and 20 cents per barrel.
