Ganesh Chaturthi 2021 Date: According to Panchang, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated on the fourth day of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. This festival is the best opportunity to worship and please Lord Ganesha, the most beloved amongst all deities. This year Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated on September 10, 2021.


Across the country, a 10-day Ganpati Celebration would be held from this day. Lord Ganesha is praised and worshipped by offering these 10 foods which are his favourite. It is believed that prosperity and peace are obtained only under Lord Ganesha's blessings. Let's know the 10 things which Lord Ganesha loves having:


Modaks: An idol of Lord Ganesha is placed on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi. Modaks are also offered on the day, as they are considered to be Lord Ganesha's favourite food.


Motichoor Laddoo: : Lord Ganesha is also quite fond of Motichoor Laddoos. Therefore, these are also offered to him on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi.  


Besan (Gram Flour) Laddoo:: Lord Ganesha is said to like Besan (Gram Flour) Laddoos too. These are also offered during the 10 days of Ganesh Chaturthi.



Kheer (Rice Pudding):: According to a legend, Lord Ganesha used to feast on Kheer, a kind of rice pudding, when his mother, Goddess Parvati used to prepare it for his father, Lord Mahadev. Hence, kheer is a must to offer to Lord Ganesha.


Bananas : In Sanatan Dharma, bananas are said to be a wholesome offering, which Lord Ganesha also liked having. Hence, Bananas are said to be a good offering to Lord Ganesha.


Coconuts: Coconuts are said to be quite auspicious for religious activities. You should offer a coconut to Lord Ganesha, at least one day during these 10 days of Ganesh Chaturthi.


Makhana Kheer (Makhana Rice Pudding): You should offer Makhana Kheer to Lord Ganesha on one day of the celebration.


Yellow-colored Sweets: Lord Ganesha likes yellow colour. Therefore, it is recommended to offer yellow-coloured sweets to Lord Ganesha for prosperity and peace.
