The country’s largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) core has informed the customers on Tuesday about the lag in their banking services. The banks ATMs and POS machines are not affected but it has updated in Twitter that the intermittent connectivity issues have delayed 'making our core banking system available to our esteemed customers today (13.10.20)'. However, the lender had mentioned that the services will be restored before noon. (no update yet)

Many SBI customers were disappointed about the glitch including YONO app users who were unable to access their accounts. Aggrieved customers complained of informing about the glitch on Twitter instead of sending SMSes.







SBI remains the largest commercial bank in the country in terms of assets, deposits, branches, customers, and employees.

The UPI app from the largest lender namely BHIM SBI Pay allows users to avail several banking features from bill payment to money transfer. Launched around four years back, UPI payments have grown consistently barring the April-May period when India went into a complete lockdown. According to the data from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), State Bank of India (SBI) has garnered the maximum share of UPI-based transactions for the first four months of 2020.

The largest public sector bank has a network of more than 22,000 branches spread across the country, as well as a presence in 32 countries around the world.
