7th Pay Commission: Great good news for millions of central government employees of the country as the government may soon restore the pending Dearness Allowance (DA). At present, employees are currently getting 31 per cent Dearness Allowance. Employees have not received arrears from January 2020 to June 2021. It is expected that the government can take a decision on this in a meeting with the Cabinet secretary.

The Cabinet secretary meeting is scheduled to be held just before Christmas this year on December 24. According to the media reports, the council has demanded before the government that one-time settlement should also be done on the 18-month-long DA arrears while restoring the DA.

PM PM To Take Decision Soon

There are currently a total of 3.3 million central employees in the country. PM Modi is likely to decide on the arrears hanging on DA very soon. Employees are hoping that PM Modi may give a green signal on this.
