New Delhi [India], June 20 (ANI): Leading payments solutions and financial technology company OMA Emirates has announced the launch of Biometrics PoS terminal range - iWB Bio Series in India.

Powered by Ingenico, the range includes the iWB Bio 220 and iWB Bio 250 PoS terminals. The iWB Bio series enables payments by validating a user's fingerprint in order to process a transaction and is an ideal solution for merchants and businesses exploring and accepting AEPS through terminals.

The iWB Bio Series comes along with an inbuilt fingerprint scanner thus eliminating the need of an external finger print scanner. It uses the IP65 optical sensor and best in class biometric algorithms by Morpho and is known to match fingerprints in seconds.

"We believe that India is ready to transact with the use of Aadhar and biometrics. However in order to increase the number of Aadhar based payments via PoS, there is a need to increase the number of payment acceptance points in the country. The iWB Bio series is an all in one solution which can accept payments via input of a PIN as well as with a fingerprint for AEPS. Its matches prints within seconds and is extremely secure," said group CEO OMA Emirates, Niranj Sangal.

"We will also begin providing a complete end-to-end integrated solution directly to merchants and acquiring banks to help increase the number of Aadhar based transactions," added Sangal.

The iWB Bio series terminals have a mobile form-factor, an ergonomic design and comes along with image based messaging and audio guidance. Its long lasting battery and color display has been designed for outdoor use as well.

OMA Emirates will be deploying the iWB range via banks, financial institutions, micro-finance and government entities using AEPS for PDS, LPG and Gas and payments for government services.

To support merchant on boarding, OMA Emirates provides complete POS Managed Services offerings from end-to-end, from deployment to Installation and training. It is also equipped to provide complete support services to banks and service providers. (ANI)
