In July 2018,  Ambani had replaced Alibaba's Jack Ma to become Asia's richest man with a net worth of $44.3 billion.

Meanwhile, on Monday as domestic markets opened the week on a strong note, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) became the first Indian company to reach a market capitalisation of ₹12 trillion as its shares doubled since mid-March.
