As Diwali approaches, Indian stock exchanges, including the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), and Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX), have announced the date for their annual Muhurat trading session. This special trading period coincides with the Diwali festivities and is considered an auspicious occasion for investors to make new investments.

The special Muhurat trading session is scheduled for Friday, November 1, 2024, as announced in an official notification from the NSE. While Diwali is celebrated on October 31 in most regions, some areas will observe it on November 1, reflecting local customs and traditions variations.

Likewise, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will host a special trading session on November 1 for all commodity contracts and indices, coordinating its schedule with the stock exchanges.
