Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals’ Kanishk Jain on Saturday assumed office as the new Chairman of Uttarakhand Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) for 2024-25. On March 9, 2024, during the CII State council meeting held at Dehradun, Uttarakhand, he succeeded Bipen Gupta, the Director of G.B. Springs Pvt. Ltd.


The CII State Council, which met in Dehradun to elect new office-bearers for 2024-25, also named Suyash Agrawal, Director, Krishna Multimedia Pvt. Ltd. as the new Vice-President.


Kanishk, a second-generation member of the Akums Drugs family, has actively involved with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) at the state level has been instrumental in shaping Uttarakhand's industrial landscape. Joining CII in 2019 as an elected member, Kanishk swiftly ascended to the position of Vice-President in 2023, showcasing his leadership acumen and strategic vision.

Jain's pivotal role in the success of the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit in Dubai in October 2023 underscored his prowess in attracting investments to the state, positioning Uttarakhand as a lucrative destination for international investors.


Kanish Jain pursued a Master of Global Business from the prestigious S.P. Jain School of Global Management, and obtained additional certifications from renowned institutions such as ISB Hyderabad in India and INSEAD in France, Europe. Through these experiences, Kanishk Jain has honed his expertise in business strategy and financial management.


Embarking on his professional journey with Grant Thornton, UAE, Jain later transitioned to Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals, driven by his passion for the pharmaceutical sector and a desire to uphold his family legacy.


At the age of 29, Kanishk Jain, the dynamic entrepreneur representing Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals, has made history by becoming the youngest Chairman ever elected in CII Uttarakhand.
