An Indian YouTuber recently visited Harvard in the US and found out a quirky detail about the university’s merchandise. Ishan Sharma, a content creator, went to the US and shared his experience of visiting the university.
In a post on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, Sharma said that he visited the prestigious institution and purchased merchandise from the university for Rs 12,000. The shocking fact about the purchase was that the product came with the label 'Made in Pakistan'.
The post received a lot of responses from Netizens, with users pointing out that even Harvard has now started outsourcing to Asia. One of the users commented on the quality of the merch and said, “Quality is real bad. I picked a few last year and 2-3 washes and they all are now good to mop the floor.”
Another user noted that the irony lies in the fact that these products are not even available in Pakistan for people to purchase. "Ironically you can’t even buy these exact same in items pakistan where you expect the same product to be cheaper. same in products made in the philippines," he wrote.
Sharma made the purchase on a visit to the university and shared that he thoroughly enjoyed his visit in another post on X.
Recently, Sharma was in conversation after he called out the hospitality offered by hotels in the US, as compared to the same offered by Taj hotels in India. He appreciated the domestic hotel brand for its attention to service and detail.
