India Energy Week 2025: India Energy Week (IEW) 2025 concluded its third day on Thursday with a series of insightful and engaging sessions at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, Delhi. The event was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. Much like the first day, day three also featured participation from renowned industry leaders from around the world.


Akash Tripathi Inaugurated Ministry Of Power Pavilion


Akash Tripathi, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, inaugurated the Ministry of Power pavilion at India Energy Week 2025. He was warmly welcomed by Dr Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Personnel) at POWERGRID. During the event, Tripathi engaged with senior officials from CPSEs and participated in discussions with the panellists of the Knowledge Sessions being held at the pavilion.


ADNOC Gas Partnership With Indian Oil 


ADNOC Gas has entered into a 14-year sales and purchase agreement with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) to export up to 1.2 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to India's largest integrated and diversified energy company. The LNG will be sourced from the Das Island liquefaction facility.


Valued between $7 billion and $9 billion over the 14-year term, the agreement marks a significant milestone in ADNOC Gas' partnership with IOCL. 


Panel On Shaping Business Models For The Next Era


Abhilesh Gupta, MD and CEO of AG and P Pratham took part in a leadership panel on "Globally Traded LNG - Shaping Business Models for the Next Era’ during India Energy Week on Thursday.


He shared valuable insights into the future of LNG and its transformative role in global energy markets. He stressed the need for industry leaders and government stakeholders to collaborate in addressing inefficiencies related to taxes, bringing natural gas under GST, supporting cleaner fuels, and ensuring that regasification and transmission charges are reasonable and competitive with those in other countries.


BPCL Signs Contract With TotalEnergies Trading Asia  


BPCL has signed a strategic term contract with TotalEnergies Trading Asia during the third day of India Energy Week 2025 for the supply of Middle Eastern crude from April 2025 to March 2026. This agreement enhances BPCL’s energy security, strengthens its supply chain resilience, and fosters global partnerships.


The contract was signed by Manoj Heda, Executive Director of International Trade and Risk Management at BPCL, and Thomas Waymel, President of Trading and Shipping at TotalEnergies, with VRK Gupta, Director (Finance) at BPCL, present at the ceremony.

India Energy Week is set to be one of the largest and most influential energy events worldwide, attracting over 70,000 delegates, 700 exhibitors, and 500 speakers from around the globe. Taking place from February 11 to 14 in Delhi, the event will bring together key industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to help shape the future of energy.
