Leading the Pack: Jayshree Ullal of Arista Networks


Jayshree Ullal tops the list with a staggering wealth of Rs 32,100 crore. Ullal, who played a pivotal role in leading Arista Networks to a successful IPO in June 2014, transformed the company from a start-up into a multibillion-dollar enterprise. Following close behind are Nikesh Arora and Satya Nadella.


Nikesh Arora of Palo Alto Networks and Satya Nadella of Microsoft secure the second and third positions on the list, respectively, showcasing India's global influence in technology leadership.

This year's list also highlights the success of prominent figures from various industries:



  • Shah Rukh Khan: The Bollywood superstar, at 58, enters the list with a wealth of Rs 7,300 crore. Khan's earnings are not only from his acting career but also from his production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, and his ownership of the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL team.

  • Supam Maheshwari: The co-founder of FirstCry, Maheshwari debuts on the list with Rs 2,200 crore. His foresight in recognising the potential for baby care brands in India has made FirstCry a leading name in the sector.

  • Venu Srinivasan: Chairman of TVS Motor, Srinivasan is a notable entrant with an impressive wealth of Rs 60,400 crore. His leadership has propelled TVS Motors to become the third-largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India.

  • Hrithik Roshan: The actor, aged 50, makes his debut with Rs 2,000 crore, thanks to the success of his sportswear brand HRX, marking his successful venture into the business world.

  • Harindarpal Banga: Representing Caravel Group, Banga enters the list with a wealth of Rs 23,800 crore. Caravel Group is a prominent name in fleet management, trading, and investments, with Banga also being one of the largest shareholders of Nykaa.

  • Sunil Suresh: A new entrant, Suresh, 58, built a luxury furniture brand from humble beginnings in a garage. His company, Stanley Lifestyles, now boasts over 3,000 SKUs and recently went public, bringing his wealth to Rs 2,200 crore.

  • Anand Chandrasekaran: A prominent figure in the start-up ecosystem, Chandrasekaran debuts with a wealth of Rs 1,200 crore. Known for his investments in future unicorns, he is now focused on building his own AI start-up, Crescendo.


Top Wealth Holders


Topping the 2024 Hurun India Rich List is Gautam Adani and family, with a staggering 95 per cent increase in wealth, reaching Rs 1,161,800 crore. Mukesh Ambani follows in second place, with a wealth of Rs 1,014,700 crore.
