Industrialist and Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani has pledged Rs 10,000 crore towards social causes to mark the wedding of his younger son, Jeet Adani. The ceremony, held at the Belvedere Club in Ahmedabad’s Adani Shantigram township, was a private affair attended only by close family and friends.
Sharing the news on social media, Gautam Adani wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "With the blessings of Almighty God, Jeet and Diva tied the sacred knot of marriage today. The wedding took place today in Ahmedabad with traditional rituals and Shubh Mangal Bhaav among loved ones. It was a small and extremely private function, so we could not invite all the well-wishers even if we wanted to, for which I apologise. I sincerely seek blessings and love from all of you for my daughter Diva and Jeet."
The bride, Diva, is the daughter of diamond trader Jaimin Shah. Jeet Adani, who serves as Director at Adani Airports, overseeing six international airports and the upcoming Navi Mumbai airport, is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Gautam Adani Pledges Rs 10,000 Crore Donation for Social Causes
Gautam Adani has pledged Rs 10,000 crore to fund infrastructure initiatives in healthcare, education, and skill development. According to sources close to him, the donation aligns with his philosophy of "Seva Sadhana Hai, Seva Prarthana Hai Aur Seva Hi Paramatma Hai" (Service is devotion, service is prayer, and service is the ultimate divinity). The funds are expected to be utilised for establishing affordable world-class hospitals, medical colleges, K-12 schools, and global skill academies aimed at ensuring employability for all sections of society, they informed.
Two days before the wedding, Gautam Adani launched the ‘Mangal Seva’ programme, which aims to support newly married women with disabilities. Under this initiative, 500 such women will receive financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each every year.
To mark the programme’s launch, Jeet Adani met 21 newly married divyang (disabled) women and their husbands. He shared his thoughts on social media, expressing joy that Jeet and Diva were beginning their journey with a virtuous resolution.
Gautam Adani had earlier dismissed speculation that Jeet’s wedding would be a grand affair with a gathering of celebrities. Speaking at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj on 21 January, he had stated, "Definitely not. We are like common people. Jeet came here to take Ma Ganga's blessings. His marriage will happen in a simple and traditional way."
The wedding, devoid of political leaders, business tycoons, diplomats, film stars, and entertainers, was focused on traditional Gujarati rituals.
