Elon Musk took to social media to share another one of his opinions and became the talk of the town. The tech billionaire said that he has no respect for people who post on the social networking site, LinkedIn.
The comment followed RWE CEO’s post on the platform after Germany experienced a shortage in power supply. Notably, RWE is one of the leading energy companies in Europe. The post by CEO Markus Krebber on LinkedIn showed the executive appealing for more ‘secure power supplies as electricity bills surged and became 10 times more expensive than usual.
Responding to the post, Musk reshared it on X and said, “I instantly lose respect for anyone who posts on LinkedIn. Unbearably cringe.”
The post quickly went viral. Many users seemed to agree with the billionaire’s opinion and shared their own perspective on the professional networking platform. One of the users commented, “I've never understood its purpose. People told me it was good for work connections because of the "recommendations" people could give you, but everyone just recommends everyone so they get recommended back, which makes the recommendations meaningless. Everyone knows this.”

Another individual sarcastically said on the post, "Every post on LinkedIn: "Honoured and humbled to win this award I nominated myself for" "Great to have lunch with ... Where we discussed leadership and excellence" "We need more women in ...." "Follow me for tips on LinkedIn growth"."
This reaction followed the announcement of X being declared as the top news app on App Store in India. The billionaire bought the platform earlier in October 2022 for $44 billion.
