Social media users often share posts of vintage items, and this has become popular as individuals increasingly seek to connect with the past and relive cherished memories. From old photographs to antique collectables, these nostalgic moments spark conversations and inspire curiosity among internet users. Many people find joy in reminiscing about bygone eras, and sharing these treasures allows them to explore personal histories and engage with a community that values the charm of vintage aesthetics.

A recent Reddit post showcasing a restaurant bill from 2007 has ignited a spirited discussion about inflation and the escalating cost of living. The bill from "The Supper Factory" indicated that a ten-item meal cost just Rs 2,522 back in 2007, starkly contrasting with today’s prices. This revelation has captured significant online attention, prompting users to share their experiences and express astonishment at the dramatic price disparity.

The post's caption states, "Found 2 bills from 2007 bar visits in Delhi. Man, I can't believe prices of food and alcohol have jumped up so much since then."

However, opinions varied among users. While some felt a wave of nostalgia from the post, many sceptics pointed out that even in 2007, spending Rs 2,500 wasn’t regarded as a budget-friendly night out. One user remarked, “2007 me even Rs 2500 was very costly brother. I remember hamara poora ration aa jaata that 1000 se under and we thought that was very expensive.”

Another user added: “Oh believe me you that was nowhere near “pocket friendly” back in 2007. That was an entire month’s rent for a independent one room apartment.”

“Lol who would explain this person ki 2007 your salary was also based on the expense. The value of Rs 100 note was different compared to today. Earning 35k was a good salary like around 55k or 60k today per month.(Just an example ab indepth mat chle Jana until you are a CA),” explained a third user.
