An e-Aadhaar card is a digital version of an Aadhaar card, which can be utilised for various government verifications. Similar to a physical Aadhaar card, the e-Aadhaar card includes essential information such as biometric data, demographic details, Aadhaar number, and photograph, as well as general information like your name, date of birth, and gender. 


Keep Aadhar card enrolment numbers ready as it will be required to log in, and in case you do not have an Aadhar card number, you can keep your enrolment number, along with the time and date provided in the acknowledgement slip ready. Here are some of the ways you can download your e-Aadhar card.


Steps to download your e-Aadhaar card:


One can visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/retrieve-eid-uid and follow these steps



  • Enter your full name, registered email ID/mobile number and the security code.

  • Click ‘Send OTP’ and submit the one-time password received on your registered mobile number.

  • Now, check on the Aadhaar number/enrollment ID sent on the registered mobile number.

  • Visit the e-Aadhaar page on the official UIDAI website and enter the 28-digit enrolment ID/12-digit Aadhaar number. 

  • Now, submit the security code and click ‘Send OTP’ to receive the one-time password.

  • At the end, submit this OTP, and you will be able to download the e-Aadhar card after clicking on ‘Verify and Download’. After downloading it, you can get the Aadhar card printed.

Steps to download e-Aadhaar card with the enrollment number:


One can download an e-Aadhaar card using your Enrollment ID (EID) by following these steps:



  1. Visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/genricDownloadAadhaar and enter your 28-digit enrollment ID and the given security code.

  2. After entering the generated OTP,  a unique code will be sent to the registered mobile number.

  3. Enter the received OTP and click on ‘Verify and Download’.

  4. You will now be able to download a copy of your e-Aadhaar.
