A Bengaluru resident, who placed an order through Blinkit while at a hospital, expressed his gratitude for the quick delivery service after they prioritised his order, even though he did not make any special request for it. This gesture caught his attention, and he was impressed by how the team ensured his order was delivered promptly.

Sanjeet Sahoo works as a product manager at Groww, according to his X (formerly Twitter) account shared his experience in a post on social media. "My heart goes out to the person who has thought of optimising for this, thanks Blinkit," he wrote in his post.

Along with his message, Sahoo shared a screenshot of his order, which included a notification from the Blinkit app that read: "We've prioritised your order! We noticed your order is from a hospital. Sending you and your dear ones our warm wishes.”

The post won people’s hearts online and sparked a wave of positive feedback, as people appreciated the company's attention to detail and the kindness behind the gesture.

Sharing a similar incident, one of the X users wrote, “Definitely a Nobel step. I ordered some stuff from hospital today through Blinkit and called the delivery person to ask him to deliver to our room. I was skeptical that he might give reasons like no parking. But, he delivered it to our room without any questions. Thank you people for your empathy.”

“This was implemented by @zomato before blinkit if I am not wrong. I once ordered food from hospital location and saw this message in zomato app,” added another user.

A third user added, “Zomato has had this feature since the COVID-19 pandemic if your geolocation was a hospital or you ticked a box indicating it's for an isolating person. They've carried it forward into Blinkit, nice.”
