A Bengaluru cab driver's impressive earnings have garnered widespread attention after a Reddit user shared their conversation with him. The Redditor, who was returning from a function, was surprised to learn about the driver's substantial daily income, ranging from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000.

The Reddit user detailed their interaction in a post that quickly went viral. "So, I was coming back from a function today, and I booked a cab. While chatting with the cab driver, I asked him about his earnings. He mentioned that he makes around Rs 3,000 to 4,000 per day. I was shocked! If he makes 3,000 per day and works for 25 days a month that totals to 75,000 per month."

The cab driver explained that even after deducting fuel costs, he still has a significant amount left. Additionally, he has another cab attached to Ola, providing supplementary income. Proudly, the driver shared that his children attend a reputable school. He revealed that he has been driving since 2019 after losing his previous job.

The post sparked discussions about the potential earnings and financial stability associated with being a cab driver in Bengaluru. One Reddit user commented, “This is pretty reasonable and believable. I have a close friend's brother who works as an Ola driver. He usually just focuses on airport or railway station pickups. Works a bit odd hours but comfortably brings home around 80k after expenses. He leads a pretty comfortable life and has a 30/40 home in Yelahanka and a couple of acres of land in his native place, which he bought with his cab earnings. If you are hardworking and reliable, you can make a lot of money in that business.”

However, not all comments were entirely positive. Another user remarked on the stress and challenges of the job, saying, "They make decent money, yes, but it is extremely stressful to drive around the city all day considering the traffic. It is soul-sucking, and they are very irritable and pick fights so often. Many of them are constantly on the phone just to keep their mind off the frustration of the traffic."

A third user highlighted the hardworking nature of cab drivers, stating, "Why is it a surprise? He is working hard for that. We see so many incompetent employees earning more than that. That should actually be surprising."

The viral post has shed light on the earnings and lifestyle of cab drivers in Bengaluru, sparking varied reactions and conversations about the profession.
