New Delhi: Those who want to visit the bank for urgent requirement, it is to be noted that banks will remain closed in most parts of the country on 13 and 14 May. The holidays on both the days are categorised under Negotiable Instruments Act.


Bank holidays vary from states to states which depend on the local festivities or events observed in that particular state.  Only gazetted holidays are observed by banks all over the country. The apex bank on its website listed the days when the banking operations will remain shut in May 202 The RBI has categorised holidays under three brackets- Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act; Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday; and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.


Customers looking to visit their respective banks in the April are suggested to visit the branch as per the holidays.  While the bank branches will remain closed on the mentioned days below, mobile and internet banking will be functional as usual. All bank customers should note of the list of holidays in April to avoid any inconvenience.
