Did you know that banks across the country will be closed for almost 11 days in March? For those who are not aware of these holidays this month, the list is mentioned below However, it is to be noted that certain holidays include the four Sundays and two second Saturdays as well. As per the RBI Holiday Calendar, March 2021, the other five days banks will remain closed in different states are March 5, 11, 22, 29, and 30, as per the apex bank.
Those who intend to visit the bank should plan their visit only on days when the banks are opened to avoid any inconvenience. Bank customers plan their visit in accordance with the bank holidays.
Even as the bank branches will be shut closed on these days, mobile and internet banking will continue to be functional. Hence, customers can undertake most transactions online.

Also, note that banks may remain closed in mid-March as several bank unions have called for a nation-wide strike to protest against the government's plan to privatise the banking sector. The two-day long strike will be observed on March 15 and 16, as per the UNI report. As per the report, the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) has decided about the strike at a meeting in Hyderabad in which all the nine bank unions ----AIBEA, AIBOC, NCBE, AIBOA, BEFI, INBEF, INBOC, NOBW and NOBO took part.
