One of the first prominent festivals of the New Year falls today, on January 13, 2025. The festival of Lohri is celebrated in the northern part of the country. However, many individuals might be wondering if there are any changes to be expected in the schedule of banks on account of this festival.

The bank holiday list is published by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) every year. This list includes national holidays such as Republic Day, special occasions such as elections, state-based celebrations, festivals and weekend holidays. Banks across the country remain closed for the public on second and fourth Saturdays, and all Sundays.

Are Banks Closed On Jan 13, 2025?

This holiday list should be considered the only reliable source for information about bank schedules in states and country. The festivals often differ across states and as such, the resulting holiday is also applicable in select regions only.

On Monday, banks will continue to remain operational and open their doors for the public. The RBI's holiday list states that today will be a regular working day for the banks. Overall, there are 13 holidays to be observed by banks in the month. Let's take a look at the complete holiday list for January 2025.
