Bajaj Finance Manager Death: Tragedy struck Bajaj Finance on Monday as an employee, Tarun Saxena, died by suicide, citing excessive stress and a toxic work environment. In response, the financial services firm has announced that it is conducting a thorough investigation into the matter, according to news reports.
In a statement, Bajaj Finance described Saxena's death as a "tragic loss" and expressed their condolences to his family. "Tarun was a loving father, son, and a great friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was with our company for over seven years, and his loss is felt immensely by both us and his family," the statement read.
The company acknowledged the serious allegations regarding the work culture and confirmed that they have taken action by placing the involved employees on administrative leave. "Based on allegations, we have relieved the concerned employees of their current responsibilities, allowing for an unbiased and thorough investigation of the matter. We are also extending our full support to the authorities investigating the case," Bajaj Finance said.

The firm emphasized its commitment to workplace ethics, stating, "Our people practices are designed to create a culture of fairness, dignity, and respect. We're committed to fostering an environment that values and supports the well-being of our employees."
Saxena, who worked in the EMI recovery division in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, left behind a distressing suicide note in which he detailed the challenges of an unhealthy work environment. He wrote about the pressure to meet unrealistic targets, threats of salary cuts, and being forced to pay EMIs that he couldn’t recover. "I have not slept for 45 days. I have hardly eaten. I am under a lot of stress," Saxena wrote, as per the suicide note. He added that his seniors were unresponsive to his feedback and concerns.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances leading up to Saxena’s death, with Bajaj Finance pledging their full cooperation in the ongoing inquiry.
