New Delhi: After cracking an unpredictable deal with Twitter, the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, said on Twitter he is targeting to bid for soft drink giant Coca-Cola.
Musk, who succeeded in calling the shots over the social media platform as he struck a $44-billion deal, said he will "put the cocaine back in" the popular cola drink after "buying" the Atlanta headquartered Coca-Cola.
"Next, I’m buying Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in," the Tesla chief tweeted early Thursday.
Through the tweet, Musk referred to the soft drink’s original recipe which had cocaine in it, according to Bloomberg. It was launched way back in 1886 as a tonic for various ailments.
Though the Coca-Cola idea appears to have been made in good humour, only time can say if Elon Musk is serious about it.
The Coca-Cola tweet has been retweeted more than 244,000 times and garnered massive reactions.
One user asked Musk if he can “buy the IRS and abolish taxes”, while another quipped he is “too poor” to buy Coke.
In a fun trail of tweets, the Tesla CEO shared what appears to be a photo-shopped Twitter post of him saying: "Now I'm going to buy McDonald's and fix all of the ice cream machines…"
"Listen, I can't do miracles ok," Musk posted a funny response to the suggestion.

Elon Musk is set to become the new owner of the micro-blogging platform Twitter. The $44 billion deal is expected to close sometime later this year.
Musk, who has been an avid user of the platform himself, has been very insistent that the company needed to be taken private to make it a genuine platform for free speech.
