Mumbai: Punita Trikha is a renowned Bollywood jewellery designer who has made her mark in the industry with her exceptional skills and creativity. She has designed jewellery for some of the biggest names in Bollywood, including Salman Khan, Sushmita Sen, Katrina Kaif, and many others. But her journey to success was not an easy one, as she had to overcome a lot of struggles to get where she stands at present. Punita started her career as an air hostess with Indian Airlines but soon left the job due to family responsibilities. After having her son, she felt the need to do something challenging, and that's when during one of her trips to London, she met a woman who was a jewellery designer whose work impressed her to the core. What followed was her learning the art by undergoing a jewellery-making course in Paris, and that's what helped her find a new path which led to her tremendous success.

When Punita came back to India, she had around 250 jewellery sets that she had made with her own hands. Her husband suggested that she open a showroom, which she refused, saying that she would not do so until she got work in Bollywood. Her determination paid off when Jackie Shroff inaugurated her showroom in 2004, and soon she bagged her first Bollywood project to design jewellery for the film Janasheen. That kickstarted her career in the entertainment industry, and soon she had a line-up of projects like Maine Pyar Kyu Kiya and Partner with Salman Khan. She also designed for the Hollywood film Marigold, which took her standing to the next level. Punita says that her style is unique and reflects her personality as she makes all her jewellery with her own hands and doesn't rely on workers to do the job. She has won many awards for her work, including the Kalpana Chawla Award and the Jewellery Designer of the Year award from the JD Institute of Fashion Technology.

Her future plans include exporting her jewellery to the cities of Europe. Despite the ups and downs in her life, she remains positive and stands as a true role model for many young people who aspire to make a name for themselves in the creative industry. Her story shows that with patience, hard work, and belief in oneself, one can achieve anything. Her unique style and creativity have made her one of the most sought-after jewellery designers in Bollywood, and her future plans are equally exciting, which will undoubtedly place her on a global platform in times to come.
