In a conversation with Dr Vivek Bindra, Jubin revealed that before becoming a singer, he had pursued statistics, computer science, and art studies. When asked why he chose these subjects even though he always wanted to become a singer, Jubin explained that transitioning from Dehradun to Mumbai to pursue a singing career wasn't easy. Hence, having a backup plan for his career was necessary, even though he wasn't powerful academically.
