Article 293: Voice Of Stray Animals Hapur (VOSAH) — Building A Safer And Happier Place For Street Animals

The NGO has been in existence for one and a half years and has introduced many initiatives to help provide a safe environment and paralysed shelter for stray dogs.

Voice of stray animals Hapur, located in Hapur Ghaziabad, is an NGO that was brought into existence by Mr. Harendra. He, along with his team, aims at rescuing stray dogs from the roadside who have been abandoned or injured, malnourished, abused, faced health issues or been left just uncared for. They believe that “the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”.

This NGO has been in existence for one and a half years and has introduced many initiatives to help provide a safe environment and paralysed shelter for stray dogs. They have a diligent and dedicated team to look after the dogs, provide them with health facilities, and help the rescued animals recuperate.

About The Life Of Stray Animals

Stray animals are animals found on roadside pavements or streets that breed, eat and live in harsh and extreme conditions, mostly developing health issues or nutrition problems. They are unwanted, abandoned and uncared for, living in a miserable state. They are not wild animals. They eat anything and everything they find around them, which can have deleterious effects on their health.

VOSAH rescues them, provides shelter to them and feeds them nutritious food to help them regain their health or illnesses. This non-government organisation works for this noble cause and conducts adoption drives as well. It caters to the needs of voiceless animals and treats abandoned and paralysed dogs with utmost care. They also make special wheelchairs for them to help them walk again. 

Mr. Harendra exclaims that there is no better earning than earning smiles on the faces of these vulnerable, voiceless animals. By helping them, you’re not just earning good deeds but also good friends because there is no better friend than a dog.

In India, it’s sad to see the plight of stray dogs and not many volunteers to look after them. According to them, dogs do speak but only to those who listen. We, as humans, have a responsibility towards other living beings. 

Helping them gives our life meaning and purpose; moreover, kindness costs nothing. We as humans should associate ourselves with such NGOs and help them build safer and happier homes for the needy.
