New Delhi: Auto company Yamaha, known for its sports and powerful bikes, has launched the MT-15 MotoGP Edition in India. It has been launched for Rs 1,47,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
This amazing model has been introduced with a sporty look. The branding of moto GP can be seen on its fuel tank. Yamaha has equipped this model with a powerful engine.
Features
Yamaha MT-15 MotoGP bike features a side-stand engine cut-off, an A&S clutch, single-channel ABS and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) system on a delta box frame.
It also features a Uni-level seat with grab bar, Multi-Function Negative LCD Instrument Cluster, Bi Functional LED Headlight, LED Tail Light and an Under cowl. Yamaha MT-15 MotoGP weighs 138 kg.
Yamaha MT-15 MotoGP comes with 155 cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve engine with 6-speed transmission. It generates maximum output of 18.5 PS at 10,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm.
Competitors
In India, the Yamaha MT-15 MotoGP bike will get tough competition from Honda's CB200X bike. This bike is based on the Hornet 2.0. It has a 184cc BSVI PGM-FI engine. It has a single-cylinder engine that produces 17 bhp of power and 161 Nm of torque. It has a 5-speed gearbox.
The company has launched this bike in 3 colour options. These colours are Pearl Nightstar Black, Matte Selene Silver Metallic and Sports Red.
This bike is equipped with an all LED lighting package - an LED headlamp with position lamp, LED Winkers and LED taillamp. The bike has both front and rear disc brakes along with ABS. The bike is priced at Rs 1.44 lakh.
