The ID.4 is a premium electric SUV by Volkswagen with the ID sub-brand and this SUV will start the German carmaker's foray into the EV space. The ID.4 has been spotted testing in India many times and recently the car was also shown at their annual conference. The GTX ID.4 variant could be coming since that model has been spotted testing in India. The ID.4 GTX is the performance iteration and the faster version with dual electric motors along with all-wheel drive.

Styling-wise there is a lot of black detailing which is used. There is a gloss black intake, black roof, and a rear spoiler too. The shape is a coupe-like SUV with a sloping roofline along with a spoiler while the rear uses connecting tail lamps too. The ID.4 is a fairly big SUV and one that looks sporty also.

As mentioned before the GTX version comes with a 77kWh battery pack which develops 299bhp and 460Nm. 0-100 km/h takes place in only 6.2 seconds with dual motors providing loads of power along with torque. In terms of range expect 500km per charge while DC fast charging will juice up the car in just 36 minutes as well.

Inside, the ID.4 GTX is well-loaded with features including a 3-zone climate control, head-up display, heated and powered seats, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof. There is a surround-view camera and ADAS features on board too.

The ID.4 GTX will be a CBU product and will most likely be priced between Rs 50-60 lakh and count cars like the EV6 from Kia as rivals which also gets a dual motor layout. We expect an India launch by this year while Volkswagen of course has to ready its dealership network amongst other factors before launching this car.
