The 7-seater version of the Toyota Hyryder will be coming next year and it will be a three row version to take on the likes of the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar and the Mahindra XUV700 amongst others. This would be a three row SUV and it will sport a longer wheelbase when compared to the standard Hyryder.

This new SUV would be built alongside the Maruti version at the Kharkhoda plant next year while it could be the next big launch from Toyota. This SUV would be built by Maruti for Toyota but also like the Hyryder and the Grand Vitara, there will be differentiations from the 5-seater version.

The powertrain options though will include a full hybrid, a mild hybrid but will not get the AWD version of the 5-seater Hyryder which also comes with only a manual. The 7-seater Hyryder will have a near same interior as the 5-seater but it could have more features or slightly different interior trim at launch.

7 seaters are popular these days but this would be a three row SUV being available with a hybrid powertrain while its efficiency would be the key. Due to the longer wheelbase, the interior will have more space and we can expect a decent third row space too. The 7-seater Hyryder will have a price premium over the 5-seater but compared to the other SUVs in its class, it would still be competitively priced.

That said, the price between the Grand Vitara and Hyryder 7-seater could be nearly the same with minor differences. Currently a vast chunk of Toyota sales comes from its Maruti badged siblings while this new SUV would be aimed at the family three row SUV space and will add to the volumes of the Hyryder.
