New Delhi: Today, Mahindra handed over keys of the Gold Edition XUV700 to Sumit Antil, Gold medal winner for F64 Men's javelin throw. This is a special XUV700, in midnight black with gold accents inside out.


Javelin star Antil, who took part in the Tokyo2020 Paralympics, won the Gold for the country. Sumit has also won the Silver medal at the World Championship in 2019.


Mahindra has also embossed the record as a badge on the fender and tailgate, it is also embroidered on all the six headrests and the front dashboard.




Other features include a custom grille with gold plating on vertical slats of the grille. There is also a new Satin Gold plating Mahindra logo in this XUV700.


Other features include Gold accents on seats and IP Panel. The XUV700 is currently sold out for next six months where the second batch of 25,000 bookings sold out in just two hours. The SUV has also received a price hike and is now priced between Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 22.99 lakh.




The price hike has been about  Rs 50,000. The engine options with the XUV700 continue to be a 200PS 2-litre turbo-petrol and a 155PS/185PS 2.2-litre diesel engine.




You can get both engines with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Currently petrol variants would be delivered first followed by diesel with Mahindra aiming for delivery of upto 14,000 cars by Jan first half next year. You can buy the XUV700 in either MX or AX with AX adding further trims like AX3, AX5 and AX7.
