The 4x4 option has disappeared from the Tata stables after the Safari Storme but the Sierra in its new avatar could get it again. While not confirmed we guess the Sierra could have a 4x4 option which separates itself from other SUVs while also being a Scorpio N rival. If added to the range, the Sierra would be a return for 4x4 models.

The platform which the ICE Sierra will underpin is similar to the new Curvv which was launched this year and this ATLAS platform is deemed as a flexible architecture. Like the Curvv, the EV Sierra will come in earlier most probably while the ICE will come later.

The ICE Sierra would be placed above the Curvv with being a premium SUV with a focus on space along with toughness. Even the EV version will get an AWD variant with twin motors which again would be something new for Tata while the Harrier EV which would come earlier will also get the dual motor configuration.

The Sierra ICE though with a 4x4 would be a major addition to the range if Tata Motors brings it. While 4x4 continues to have a niche clientele, there is certainly an enthusiast demand for it while this could also open a new market for Tata Motors. We think the EV version will first follow the Harrier EV in the later part of 2025 and that's when the Sierra badge will come back to India yet again in a new form. For the upcoming Bharat Mobility show, we can expect the Sierra to be shown along with the other new cars including the Harrier EV.
