Tata is ready for its next launch in the Indian market after recently adding the new Nexon to its portfolio. The new Safari and Harrier facelifts would come with a range of updates similar to the recently launched Nexon. Most of it is focused on a different look like a full-length light bar at the front having the split headlamp/DRL treatment. The full-length LED light bar is the biggest change although we also expect an update in terms of the bumper design.
The side and the rear will also see a change along with new alloy wheels as well plus the rear will get connected LED lights. Tata Motors might add new colours as well. Inside, the current look would be updated heavily in light of more touch surfaces plus a larger touchscreen set-up along with new digital controls. We already saw some of these changes with the Red Dark Safari/Harrier including a 360-degree camera plus more.
The infotainment system will be overhauled and the centre console will have touch-based controls along with a physical toggle switch for the climate control.
We can expect more upholstery changes too. There will be no change in terms of the powertrains, there will be no change with the same diesel engine being on offer along with manual as well as automatic options. There would be a turbo petrol which would be eventually introduced but not now. There is a possibility of a small price hike for the Tata Safari/Harrier facelift due to the changes but the new look plus the new features would add to the appeal of the flagship Tata SUVs.
The new Safari/ Harrier will compete with the likes of the Mahindra XUV700 plus MG Hector and more.
