Tata Motors is aggressively expanding its EV portfolio in a bid to maintain its lead in the EV race. Currently Tata Motors has the Nexon EV along with the Tiago plus Tigor EV. Now, it is planning to add the next big product to its EV portfolio and that is the Punch EV.
The petrol Punch has been a big success in selling 2 lakh units within two years of its launch in India. The petrol Punch was on sale from 2021 and this new upcoming EV version will certainly give a bigger push to its sales numbers along with the petrol version.
The Punch EV has been spied and design wise, will be expected to get blue accents and the distinctive Tata EV shade which is exclusive to its electric cars. The Punch EV has also been spied with rear disc brakes and a Nexon EV like rotary gear selector.

Then the Punch EV would also be getting premium EV features like regenerative braking modes and an electronic handbrake. It could get the 24kWh battery pack with a 300 km plus range like the Tiago EV or get the 30.2 kWh battery pack of the Nexon EV Prime.
The larger battery pack will mean even more range while that could mean that the Punch EV would be placed higher than the Tigor EV and just below the Nexon EV. That said, the Punch EV would be the most affordable EV SUV at launch with no rear rivals in terms of another electric SUV at this price point.
Exact pricing or more details will come closer to launch which would be around the festive season. Tata Motors will already have the new Nexon for launch roughly around that time too.
