Kia will be launching the Seltos facelift shortly and it is a crucial update for the SUV since the Seltos is their best-selling product. We expect the Seltos facelift to launch in the next few months and one of the big attractions of this new model would be its panoramic sunroof. The current Seltos gets a standard sunroof while rivals currently offer a panoramic sunroof including the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Toyota Hyryder plus the MG Astor.
Now with the Seltos facelift getting this feature, it would be a big plus for the SUV. Along with that, the Seltos facelift will come with a new look front-end with some tweaked design elements while the rear styling will get a connected tail-lamp set-up plus new alloy wheels. The panoramic sunroof would be a big draw for the Kia Seltos while the interior will get a set of dual 10.25-inch screens including a digital instrument cluster.
Another big update would be the inclusion of ADAS features on the new Seltos which again would be a first for any new Kia in India. Other than that there would be more features on offer now along with 6 airbags as standard. Powertrains would also see an overhaul with a new 1.5l turbo petrol which has been added to the Kia Carens now.
This powertrain replaces the 1.4l turbo petrol in the Seltos with more power at 160 bhp. It would get a DCT automatic gearbox too. Other engine options like a 1.5l petrol and a diesel will remain. The new Seltos is expected to carry a small premium in terms of the price tag but the additional features and the new looks would be worth it for sure.
With the compact SUV segment hotting up with new rivals the new Seltos will look to cement its position further in terms of its monthly sales.
