Tata Motors has unveiled the Nexon.ev facelift after it showed the updated Nexon petrol and diesel. This is also under the new EV branding seen across all electric cars with upcoming EVs also getting this branding. Styling wise there are some changes with the Nexon facelift petrol/diesel with the EV version getting full width LED lighting and grille now being body coloured. The full LED light at the front is also used for the charging status.


Other than that, it gets X shaped full connected tail-lamps while the Nexon.ev also gets a welcome/goodbye sequence. The wheels are aero inserts with 16inch ones and the design is similar to the petrol/diesel Nexon too although there are some aero changes for better range as is the case with other EVs too. The blue highlights have been reduced now although it gets blue .EV badging. Unlike the previous Nexon EV there is also a hidden rear wiper on the new Nexon.ev.


Inside, the new Nexon.ev looks more premium and the EV version while it gets a lighter coloured upholstery also on the steering wheel which is now a 2-spoke one with being backlit. There is also the digital panel with controls while getting ventilated leatherette seats. Other features include a voice-controlled sunroof, cooled glovebox and Type C 45W front and rear fast charging. There are paddle shifters which control the regen with three levels. The other highlight is the huge 12.3-inch touchscreen by Harman along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. There are OTA updates, Alexa, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, JBL audio and an air purifier. Like the new Nexon facelift it also gets a 360-degree camera with a blind view monitor. Tata has also provided an app suite along with connected car tech.


The Nexon.ev range now comprises the long and medium range instead of the previous trim names. The long-range version has a 40.5kWh battery pack with an ARAI Certified Range of 465km. The medium range meanwhile has a 30kWh battery pack with a 325km range. Top speed of long range is 150kmph vs 120 of the medium range. There are also three drive modes.


Another new feature for the Nexon.ev is a V2L charging where it can charge other EVs or act as a power bank. At home, a 7.2kW AC charge will juice up the long range Nexon.ev by 6 hours.


Prices for the new Nexon.ev will be revealed by the 14th and we expect a slight increase over the current one.
