Skoda will launch its new SUV in India early next year and with a worldwide unveil in India by January 2025 while the recent image of the rear styling sketch shows how the SUV would be different from the Kushaq. While it will share parts to save costs, the design would be different and will have its own identity.

As the rear styling shows, the yet to be named sub 4 metre SUV will have shorter overhangs plus muscular details. You can also see how the tail-lights are different and like all sub 4 metre SUVs, the proportions end with a stubby boot. The front-end too will have a different style when compared to the Kushaq while it follows the design theme from the Epiq concept.

While some bits like the front doors, grille would be the same, the colours, alloys would be different for this sub 4 metre SUV from Skoda. It will also be a sub 4m SUV to offer only a turbo petrol with no naturally aspirated unit like the XUV 3XO and the Nexon. The features list will include a single pane sunroof, climate control, LED lighting and more.

The shorter wheelbase will mean less boot space and space at the back than the Kushaq but space would be comparable with others in its class. We can also expect this new SUV to be priced below the Rs 10 lakh barrier since all others are also priced well below Rs 10 lakhs while also needing to make a gap between the Kushaq.

Aggressive localisation is the need of the hour and Skoda will do the same which means it will compete head-on with others in this competitive space.
