New Delhi: Ola Electric is likely to unveil its first electric car on Monday (August 15). CEO Bhavish Aggarwal recently shared a teaser video of the company's upcoming product on Twitter saying, “Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost๐Ÿ˜Ž See you on 15th August 2pm!".

It is also speculated that the company may launch two new products at the August 15 event. "Two new colours? Two new features? Or two new cars? ๐Ÿ˜‰Find out in just 2 days!," tweeted Ola Electric.

Earlier this month, Aggarwal updated about a new product launch on August 15 on the occasion of India’s 76th Independence Day. In June, Ola teased the new car, showcasing sleek DRLs with red accents. The teaser also revealed the front and rear design of the car, which had the Ola logo on it. The company has been teasing about electric cars for a while now.

Interestingly, the Ola Electric scooter was also launched on August 15 last year. The company has then showcased Ola Electric S1 and S1 Pro.

The upcoming electric car is said to come equipped with in-house developed technologies like driver assistance systems, reported the Mint. The car is expected to have a range of 500 kms with a single charge. It has previously teased cars in different styles including SUV as well as hatchback.

However, the latest teaser shows the right quarter panel of what appears to be the Ola Electric Car in Red colour. It exhibits a clean profile on the side with one strong character line running down the middle.

In a bid to manufacture electric cars, Ola is looking for 1,000 acres of land to set up a facility. This factory will be quite bigger than the current factory located in Hosur, building Ola S1 Pro electric scooters, reported the Times of India.
