10,000 women to be given employment

Ola CEO Bhavish Agarwal said a self-reliant India needs a self-reliant woman. He has claimed that it will be the world's only motor vehicle manufacturing plant operated only by women. About 10,000 women will get jobs through this initiative. He said this is our first step towards creating a more inclusive workforce and providing economic opportunities to women. As per the company, a good investment has been made to improve the core manufacturing skills of these women. Women will be responsible for every vehicle manufactured at the plant.

'Women's share in workforce is essential'

Bhavish Agarwal said that just by giving equal opportunities to women in the workforce the country's GDP could go up by 27 per cent. He said women have the lowest share of 12 per cent in manufacturing. Providing economic opportunities to women as well as empowering them will not only change their lives but also lead to an improvement in their families and society. He also emphasized that in order to make India a manufacturing hub in the world, we should involve women in the workforce and enhance their skills.
