New Delhi: Mahindra has finally revealed the new Scorpio and it is called 'Scorpio-N'. The new generation of this SUV would be launched on the 27th of June. The new generation Scorpio like the XUV700 is based on the new platform plus gets a brand new exterior plus interior. The new generation Scorpio also gets a more modern look while also sporting the new logo which was also seen with the XUV700.

It has the same boxy and tough SUV look but the face gets more evolved with new shape headlamps and a new grille with a chrome outline. There is cladding and a raised height with lots of ground clearance along with optimum off-road angles.

It is clear that the new Scorpio-N maintains the off-road toughness seen with the current Scorpio.

The interiors are also brand new with the design being inspired from the XUV700 along with some of the tech being expected to be borrowed from the big brother. It will get a big touchscreen and premium features but the focus would also be on more space and practicality.

The new generation model gets more space which is crucial over the current generation model. The new Scorpio would be available with both petrol and diesel engines being the same new generation engines seen with the new Thar and XUV700.

However the new Scorpio-N will get slightly lower tuned power output of the XUV700 diesel and petrol. Plus we expect both the petrol and diesel to get 4x4 option along with manual/automatic.

Like the Thar, off-road ability is important to the new Scorpio.

Stay tuned for more on the new Scorpio as we will get more details closer to launch. The new Scorpio-N would be one of the few compact SUV or SUVs at this price which offer 4x4 capabilities while the more luxurious tech filled cabin would get new buyers on-board.
