The new generation Vitara Brezza will come in next year and will be a completely new model with nothing being shared with the current Brezza. The current Brezza has been around for a long time but last year it got a facelift with a petrol engine. This new generation though is all new and gets the lighter Heartect platform which is currently the base for all Maruti cars including the upcoming new Celerio which is due for launch soon.

The Heartect platform will mean less weight and more safety but Maruti will also change the look of the new Brezza with a more premium stance when compared to the current one. The length will stay the same but it will get a new grille, LED DRLs, and a changed face though the SUV-like look will stay the same. A bigger change could be 17inch alloy wheels and a more premium look.

However, the all-new interior will replace the current-gen model which is a bit old now. That is a bigger change with the latest smart play studio infotainment system, a bigger unit, and more features. There would be a more premium interior now plus even connected tech, sunroof, rear ac vents. The wheelbase would be longer too and will increase space on offer.

The other news is that there would be no diesel Brezza with only the 1.5l petrol being used. But you will get a new 6-speed auto instead of a 4-speed one plus the standard 5-speed manual. For increased efficiency, the new Brezza will have a larger mild hybrid system with better mileage. Expect the launch to be next year's first half.
