Mahindra showed its electric future but in a rugged form at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo with the BE Rall E concept. The Rall E is an interesting take on an off-road racer on the BE 05 concept. Being based on the BE.05 coupe-like SUV, the Rall E version brings in more off-road touches including various changes in terms of its look. Upfront you get different round headlamps and a new lighting DRL while the bumper gets a lot of cladding.

Look around and you will see new larger off-road spec tyres as well as a jacked-up stance. The bumper and tail-lamps are also different from the BE.05 concept with more attention towards off-roading. ALSO READ | Tata Harrier EV In Sports 'Near-Production' Look At Bharat Mobility Expo

Then you get a roof-mounted carrier for a spare tyre and a spare battery pack as well so as not to get stranded in the middle of nowhere.

The paint shade is also distinctive and stands out while providing a nice contrast with the off-road bits.

The interior will also get a different dose of off-road vibes with a new look minimalist cabin and new look upholstery.

We expect that in the future, the BE range could include a tougher iteration of its BE.05 version like this with being slightly watered down.

The BE range includes the sub-brand of electric SUVs and will include the standard BE.05 SUV as and when it comes to the Indian market by next year.

The BE range will only include electric SUVs while there will be other electric SUVs within the XUV range, even the iconic Thar will have an electric version with a concept shown in South Africa sometime back.
