JSW MG Motor India had promised a whole line-up of new products coming in and the first of which would be a CUV destined for launch around the festive season. Seen here testing, this is a CUV or a crossover utility vehicle based on the Cloud sold overseas.

We can expect some changes for the Indian version but the styling is the talking point here being a combination of sedan and an SUV. The focus on space seems to be here with the large cabin area along with the quarter glass plus a wraparound look. The design seems quite futuristic and we can expect details like flush door handles, full LED lighting and a minimalistic design. Inside is where we can expect a radical design and for the India spec version, the interiors would mimic the global Cloud EV with a born EV architecture meaning more space, especially at the back.

The AC vents are neatly integrated and the cabin is quite cool with a large touchscreen incorporating most of the buttons. For India, we can expect features like a 360 degree camera, ADAS, ambient lighting, electric tailgate plus even seats that fully recline amongst others. Knowing how MG cars are equipped here, features would be a priority.

The India launch would be around the festive season while the positioning would be expanding the EV space below the ZS while bringing in a crossover EV.

In terms of range we can expect around 400 km (around 460 km) plus while multiple battery pack options could be offered too. For now, these images showcase how the car looks albeit in camouflage form and more details would be revealed closer to its market introduction. Expect prices to be under Rs 20 lakh when launched here and that means it neatly slots amongst the current EVs albeit with a different look plus more space.
