The Exter has a length of 3815mm vs 3827mm of the Punch. Width wise the Exter has a width of 1710mm vs 1742mm of the Punch. The boot space of Exter is 391 litres vs 366 litres of the Punch. Ground clearance of the Punch is 187mm vs 185mm of Exter.
Prices
The Exter starts at Rs 5.99 lakh for the base petrol manual. The top-end petrol manual is Rs 9.3 lakh. The Exter with the AMT meanwhile starts from Rs 8 lakh while the top-end is Rs 10 lakh. There is also a CNG version priced at Rs 8.2 lakh. The Punch meanwhile starts from Rs 6 lakh for the manual petrol while the AMT range begins at 7.5 lakhs. The top-end Punch AMT is priced at Rs 9.5 lakh.
Engine & Power
Both cars only get a 1.2l petrol although the Punch has a 3cylinder engine compared to the 4 of the Exter. The power output for the Punch is 86bhp/113Nm while the Exter develops 83bhp/114Nm. Both cars have a 5-speed manual and an automatic. Mileage wise the Exter delivers 19.4/19.2 kmpl for MT/AMT while the Punch delivers 18.97 kmpl and 20.09 kmpl.

The Punch has a 7-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a rear-view camera, 15-inch wheels, part digital instrument cluster, follow-me-home headlamps, cruise control, and dual airbags.
