The premium SUV space has already seen a lot of action over the past few years but recently many new entrants have further given the buyers even more options. It all started with the XUV700 from Mahindra bringing in a lot of features along with new powertrains while later Toyota brought out its new Innova Hycross armed with a completely new look plus a focus on comfort plus features. Maruti recently launched its own version so let's take a look at all of the three family SUV/UVs.


Which is bigger?


The Innova Hycross and the Invicto have the same dimensions with a length of 4755mm while the XUV700 comes in at 4695mm. In terms of width, the Innova/Invicto comes in at 1850mm vs 1890mm of the XUV700. Wheelbase is also important and that is where the XUV700 comes in at 2750mm while the Innova Hycross/Invicto has a wheelbase of 2850mm.




Which car has more features?


All three are very well equipped with all of the features including dual-zone AC, connected car tech, a massive panoramic sunroof plus more.  The Invicto/Innova bring in captain seats as an option plus get a panoramic sunroof with ambient lighting as well. There are cooled cupholders plus individual cup holders at the rear with a sunshade while you can adjust the rear seat too. Upfront the Innova/Invicto has a powered drivers seat plus cooled seats and more. The Innova gets extendable footrest too. The XUV700 gets pop out door handles, wireless charger, air purifier, 12speaker audio system and more. Both the Innova and the XUV700 get ADAS which is not there on the Invicto.




Which car has more power?


The XUV700 gives you a 2.0l turbo petrol with 200bhp and a 2.2l diesel with 185bhp along with manual/automatic plus AWD of course. The Innova Hycross/Invicto comes with a strong hybrid powertrain with 180bhp and an eCVT gearbox. The Innova Hycross gets a 2.0l petrol engine.




Which car is the best value?


The XUV700 is priced between Rs 14-26 lakh while the Innova Hycross is priced from Rs 18.8 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. If we look at the Invicto then it comes below the Hycross being priced between Rs 24.7 lakh to Rs 28.4 lakh. The XUV700 is the SUV here with its diesel engine and more powerful petrol plus focus on off-road also with AWD along with tough looks. The Invicto and Innova Hycross focus on comfort, efficiency and space more.
