Hyundai Casper SUV has been revealed in South Korea and this new entry SUV would be also coming to India early next year. Officially called Casper now, it is an all-new model from Hyundai, entering the micro SUV space. The car name 'CASPER' was inspired by the 'Casper' technology.
The car has a length of 3,595mm, a wheelbase of 2,400mm, a full width of 1,595mm, and a total height of 1,575mm, and consists of a basic model with 1.0 MPI and an active model with 1.0 T-GDI (turbo model). The 1.0 model will probably come with AMT and manual options while the turbo will get a manual like the Nios. The turbo needless to say would be the top-end model with more power. We do not expect a diesel to come with the Casper.
In terms of design, it features round LED DRLs at the bottom plus a parametric pattern grille along with a skid plate. You can also see the black A pillar and roof rails along with the hidden door handles. The turbo gets a different mesh grille. The interior has not been revealed but we expect all features which would accompany any new Hyundai while tall boy design would mean more space.
Expect a rearview camera, wireless charging, and more with even a sunroof being expected to be there for the top-end trims. The launch of this new SUV would be slotted for next year at the start and it would be priced as well as positioned below the Venue. The Casper by the looks seems like a small but funky SUV and the distinctive design is clearly the biggest highlight.
It will rival the Tata Punch which is also in the same segment.
