Hyundai has updated its Aura compact sedan just like it has also updated its Nios hatchback with some important feature additions as well. The Aura sedan has been available for three years now but these changes freshen up the styling with the front-end bearing most of the changes. The LED DRLs are on the edges of the front bumper while there is a black radiator grille too. Hence, with the increased blackened area the new Aura has a sportier look from the outside.
The headlamp design continues as before while at the side you get 15-inch alloy wheels. Things are the same at the rear too with the earlier tail-lamp design being carried over with a chrome strip joining the tail-lamps.
When you step inside, the dashboard accents in copper along with the grey/black interior scheme is carried over too. What has changed is the inclusion of more equipment on offer on the inside with the addition of USB Type C chargers, new footwell ambient lighting, updated instrument cluster and new auto headlamps. Some of the other features continue to be there like steering controls, cruise control, powered mirrors, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, cooled glovebox, climate control and more.
Important safety additions include 6 airbags being optional and 4 being standard plus a tyre pressure monitoring system. The Aura does not get a turbo petrol engine any more along with a diesel with the engine on offer being a 1.2l petrol unit along with a CNG version too. There is a 5-speed manual as standard along with an AMT automatic gearbox.
Prices start at Rs 6.29 lakh and with these changes the new Aura is freshened up along with being a more attractive proposition now than before.
