The Innova Crysta diesel will appeal to fleet operators with the diesel bringing low running costs while the Hycross will be a more luxurious offering aimed at self driven or chauffeured owners. The Innova Crysta petrol is discontinued and the Crysta is now a diesel only model.
The question is whether you should buy the new Innova Hycross or the Crysta with the hybrid powertrain matching the running costs of the diesel with greater efficiency. Well, there is still demand for diesel cars and many like the torque of a diesel which the Crysta has. With two Innova's now, Toyota wants to appeal to a wider audience while not alienating the traditional clienete which has loved the Innova diesel.
