New Delhi: The XTEC range has a new addition in the form of the Hero Passion XTEC. Not just more tech as there are many other changes but let us start with the main one and that's under the features department with now the Passion XTEC getting a digital instrument cluster and Bluetooth. The fully digital cluster now shows a low fuel warning indicator plus a real mileage display and a service reminder. There are also SMS and call alerts including missed calls after being paired to your phone it will also indicate the battery level of your phone.


Other changes include a new LED headlamp, new branding and a new rim tape plus five-spoke alloys. Do note that the headlamp has a 12 percent longer beam when compared to a halogen lamp. Finally there is a side-stand indicator and a side-stand cut-off system too plus safety is increased by a disc brake at the front along with the Combined Braking System.

In terms of the powertrain, the Passion XTEC is a 110cc BS-VI engine which makes 9bhp at 7,500rpm and 9.79Nm at 5,000rpm. The gearbox is a four-speed. That said, the Passion XTEC now gets i3S technology which increases fuel efficiency with start/stop technology.


Prices start at Rs 74,590 for the Passion XTec Drum while the Passion XTec Disc is priced at Rs 78,990. The current XTEC range includes the Splendor+, Glamour 125, Pleasure+ 110, and Destini 125. One of the chief competitors of this bike is the TVS Radeon amongst others.
