New Delhi: Popular auto giant BMW Motorrad has launched its first scooter, BMW Maxi Scooter C400GT, in India. It has been launched in India with a starting price of Rs 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
Booking for the scooter has already started since October 12. This scooter would be available in alpine white and style triple black color options.
Features: BMW's scooter C400GT has been made with a strong body panel. It would come with features like a tall windscreen, pull-back handlebar, long seats, dual footrests, full-LED lighting, keyless ignition, heated grips, heated seats, ABS, anti-theft alarm system and a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster as standard.
Engine: Talking about the engine, the scooter comes with a 350cc water-cooled single-cylinder 4-stroke engine, which is equipped with a CVT transmission. This engine generates 33.5bhp power and 35Nm torque. Thanks to this powerful engine, this maxi-scooter can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 9.5 seconds and has a top speed of 139 kmph.
To compete with: Although the BMW Maxi Scooter C400GT has no competition when it comes to price, it would compete with the upcoming Honda Forza 350 along with Suzuki Burgman Street 125 and Aprilia SXR 160. However, it is not yet decided whether Honda would be launching this scooter in India or not.
